Anne-Karin Furunes

It is very very seldom after 56 years in and around photography, that I come across anything new. Anything I haven't seen at least twice before. So, it was a great pleasure to see this great work by Anne-Karin Furunes at the exhibition of the shortlisted entries for the Ars Fennica 2021art awards.
This is just one variation on her wonderful technique. Holes perforated in a sheet of watercolour paper at precise intervals and densities reveal a positive image on the wall behind when a light is shone through it. The original of course is a photograph. Reminds me of an old newspaper half tone photo. © Anne-Karin Furunes.
