Helsinki

We caught a ferry out to Suomenlinna. Founded on islands off the coast of Helsinki in 1748, the Suomenlinna sea fortress is now a UNESCO world heritage sight and has played a major part in Finnish, Swedish, and Russian military history.

It was very interesting to wander around and see the different parts of the island. Absolutely bloody freezing with a wind that cut you in two!

The ferry ride there and back was very pleasant too! Tomorrow we go to the last city of our tour - Tallinn.
