Pause

After 4 years there's a couple of things I've learned about my crabapple tree.

As the buds begin to blossom there's a break in the wind. Once it's in blossom the wind is relentless for the few days it takes to destroy them, then we have another hiatus.

The crabapple and 3 sophora prostrata (dwarf kowhai) are the only remains of the original landscaping at the front.

Last season promised a bountiful crop of crabapples but the wind blew them off too.

Regardless, once it's in full blossom I'll take my obligatory blip. It's a good yearly marker of my front garden.

Today's gratitude: For good progress at work.
