The Knarr

I read with interest a few days ago that the Viking settlement at Vinland on the northern tip of Newfoundland has been accurately dated to 1021 AD, that's 500 years before Columbus got there. This is a model I built based on a longship found in a fjord in Denmark with approximately the same date. The Knarr was mainly a transporter boat carrying goods to Iceland, Greenland and Vinland and had a crew of about 18.
