Closed Again

Seawall has closed again, bringing a welcome quiet and extra feeling of relaxation to our evening walk around the campground. It inevitably brings back memories of when we would close up Hapgood, locking the entrance gate and draining the water system, before enjoying the remainder of fall as if the area was our own private retreat. Which it basically was. Then one year we closed it up, loaded our things and Hunka into the car, and ended up here on the island. Could've done worse, but it's often a little bittersweet looking back at how easygoing we had it then. An appropriate mood for fall I think.
