Kamay Botany Bay National Park

October 1 was the beginning of the bushfire season.

This burnt-out area at La Perouse is only 16 hectares - a hazard reduction burn last month. It was strange seeing the bones of trees, smelling dry charcoal and being able to see the track ahead.
