Llanymynech Rocks

This morning I went for a walk with the walking group.  We did a circular from Llanymynech in sunshine and showers along canal towpath, lanes, a field and by the River Severn.  This is a photo of Llanymynech Rocks taken from a lane on our route.

When I got home I received an email from U3A saying that there were two places doing drop in Covid booster vaccinations in the area so F and I went to Oswestry Orthopaedic Hospital to get ours.  It was very busy, much more so than when we had our first two jabs but we were happy to wait to get them done.

I then went to F's house to help with his gardening.  Every year we prune his hedge. F climbs the ladder and cuts the branches and I cut them up to go in his wheelie bin for recycling.

We did most of the hedge and filled the bin, it needed to go outside for tomorrow's collection so that the rest could be done next week.  The snag was that the skip lorry had broken down so they couldn't come to collect it. The bin wouldn't fit between skip and garage wall so it was imprisoned in the garden.

Of course F found a solution.  He drilled a small hole in the lid and lip and threaded rope through to hold it shut.  We then lifted it sideways onto the rim of the skip and slid it along until we could lift it out onto the pavement.  Problem solved.  It would have made a great blip but I was holding the bin!
