Cooks galore

I was looking for a handwritten recipe book kept by my grandfather, most likely when he catered for the family boarding house in Blackpool in the around the start of WWII. Failed in my hunt, but came across this menu from the restaurant my great-aunt ran in Maule's Department Store in the 1930s, from her office in the corner tower.

She went on to have her own place (The Horseshoe) in Rose St, where my older sister worked in the late 60s. At least one of my great-uncles went to Canada by working his passage as a chef. My brother had a bistro/ restaurant in Stafford St in the early 90s. My sister returned to the trade and opened Viva Mexico in 1984.

Not a trade for me, I have to say.
