Shed

We had an order of split logs delivered today. . as the result the shed was turned out so that the wood could be stacked at the back.  This bike re appeared... it is time to shed it.  A local chap said he would give it a once over (oil chain, check brakes and blow up tyres) so that I could sell it myself knowing it was in good working order. We popped it into the back of our big car which then refused to start.. it didn't recognise the key... after a lot of wondering it appeared the battery in the key was dead.. it hadn't been dead to unlock the car moments before.  Thank goodness we were at home and amazingly had a battery and managed to open the key and replace it.. the car then worked. Imagine how annoying it would have been if that had happened while out and about. That is a drawback of having a car with no keyhole for the ignition!!
The forecast for us today was rain... 60% chance of rain.. cloud and raindrop icons.  Lucky us... we had wall to wall sunshine and the wood is stowed happily dry in the shed.

I just remembered the day this bicycle arrived in the family .. it was Christmas and my husband thought it would be more fun to remove the saddle and wrap it up to give our daughter.. she was so excited when she unwrapped it as she hated the saddle on her bicycle.. she didn't realise it was going to go on a new one.. they rushed out to the shed to fix it to the current bike only to find this beauty there instead.. she was ecstatic.. sweet girl. We had many a happy cycle adventure with her on this one.
