Chicken

Mediterranean chicken en papillote (with Nyons dry cured olives, garlic, tomato powder, and thyme), couscous with harissa, and phyllo packets with cheese and parsley. Wine: Jean-Michel Dupré Beaujolais-Villages Vignes de 1940 2019.

This was an excellent dinner. The phyllo packets were inspired by my looking for uses for some leftover queso fresco and mozzarella, and some phyllo approaching its best-by date in my freezer. The two years mentioned regarding the wine might merit explain. It is a 2019 vintage. 1940 is part of the name and refers to the fact that it is an old vine Beaujolais from a vineyard planted in 1940. In wasn't bad, but it wasn't particularly a standout. I noticed while writing this up, however, that both tonight's and last night's wines are from wineries named after a Jean-Michel.
