Down below

the tiny white blob resolves into newish seal pup, rotund in its furry fat suit.
Mother is lolling in the surf a few yards away disguised as a  smooth grey boulder.

Further (away)  news from  the globe's vanishing wild life: the indris lemur of Madagascar has been found to sing in a complex 'categorical rhythm'.

"These rhythms are essentially distinctive and predictable patterns of intervals between the onset of notes. For example in a 1:1 rhythm, all the intervals are of equal length, while a 1:2 rhythm has some twice as long as those before or after – like the opening bars of We Will Rock You by Queen."

What do you think?
