Keep clear

A pleasant hour or so working in the 'yard first thing, clearing leaves and generally tidying. Then dropped off some bags of clothing at the charity shop.

After lunch, accompanied MrM to the local tyre emporium - it's in a rural area, so they deal in tyres for vehicles of all sorts, including tractors! When MrM was away last week, one of the tyres on the van suffered a puncture, and he had to buy a new one. On inspection today, it seems that the other three tyres are in imminent need of replacement. The appropriate tyres are in stock at the garage, and the van is booked in for tomorrow.

I had an ulterior motive for going with MrM - to call in at the garden centre on the way back for some winter pansies to go in the window boxes. Bought wallflowers too. Unfortunately, no lining suitable for said window boxes or the hanging basket, so it will have to be an internet order.

Very good to speak with Lucy, and then Tom, this evening.
