Maple

When I went to Johnston Gardens last week I was distracted by the ducks. Today I was determined to ignore them. There was one female that caught my attention. She likes to have a good bath, and disappears completely underwater before popping up again a couple of seconds later. Maybe it is not a bath, but some particularly tasty vegetation on the bottom of the pond.

My photographic target was the maple trees next to the blue bridge. The day was bright, very strong contrasts between light and shade. This area is mostly shaded making things a bit easier for the camera.
