In the lead

I went for a walk by the River Mersey.
And on a wooden fence going for at least 20 meters, was a whole parade of Ladybirds (different spot sizes, but Harlequin) , ants, larva and very tiny things.. More than I've seen in weeks. 
Some racing each other.
