No-Go Area

I always liked the view from one of the few windows in Ikea, overlooking this field towards the Pentlands, and hoped that it would not become part of the expanding retail development around Straiton.

Judging by this sign, it is unlikely that there will be any building here. There are several old mines in the area and subsidence may be a real danger. One of the problems this creates is the increase in invasive weeds such as giant hogweed, which, if access is too dangerous, cannot be eradicated.
