End of the Season

My last shift of the season at YorkGate this afternoon.
Although quite a dull day, the wind was warm.
Very, very busy when l arrived at lunchtime but less visitors than usual in the afternoon.
So it gave me a good few hours reading my book while sat in the little summerhouse.
Chose a latte for my afternoon drink and the gluten free almond and blueberry cake.
Brought the cake home for this evening.
The garden closes to the public on Sunday and will open next April except for a few days in February when it is snowdrop week.
This is one of my favourite areas in the garden even though nothing grows there. Lots of the  original artefacts from when the house and garden were privately owned.
