Two trips to the tip

As Phin is at daycare on a Wednesday we took the opportunity to tidy out our son’s old room so it can be turned into a home office for Miss PHL.

It didn’t take too long to finish emptying the bed of the ironing pile (it was a convenient location), strip the bed and take the mattress downstairs. The bed took a little longer as it had to be dismantled one bolt at a time. The first trip to the tip involved the mattress and various other items; the second was the bed frame.

Amazing how much dust gathers under a bed? Hoovering took a wee while but the room looked so much bigger when it was emptied. We’ve moved.the desk and chair upstairs in readiness for Miss PHL starting on the 8th. We needed the desk moved anyway to make space for some of the kitchen stuff to be moved to in the new year. And the room needed cleared so it can become our new music room.

I also managed to drop several bags to the charity shop and a couple of bags to the clothing bins.

Went with Miss PHL and her friend to look at a flat this afternoon. It was quite tidy and would suit them well but I think it’s a little on the expensive side. They’re going to put in an application and see if they get selected.

Another EB of the new bandana Phin was given at doggy daycare.
