Journeying . . .

. . . back home.
Simon drove me back to Madrid airport but en route we detoured for a lovely lunch at Medinaceli, a lovely old Roman town.  There is a small fort overlooking the surrounding valley  (extra) and a Roman gate with three arches - unusual and apparently one of the last surviving structures with three arches intact.
The surrounding area was hilly, but dry!
A wonderful final outing in glorious weather.
The flight was excellent but my friend who'd driven up to collect me had a horrendous journey, weather wise! The windscreen wipers did not go off either coming up or going home.
