Damn Nor'easter

We cut our WV trip very short due to the forecast of a strong nor'easter. We got home last night and spent the day picking up, and securing our boat on Mr. Holden's boat lift as well as his boat. Our trailer axel broke so we had to find a home for it until it can be repaired. We also picked up our neighbors garage. They are out of town for his brothers funeral who passed away from covid, but the water had gotten in before we got home. The other neighbors pier is ruined but we collected as many pier boards as possible for them. Another neighbor in the red coat helped us pull a huge tree away from the neighbors pier. We tied it to a building hoping to keep it from beating against the pier and tearing it up. Then just like that as we were out there in the pouring rain the sun popped out and gave us a screaming rainbow! We worked so hard last night and today. The tide is forecast to be 5.0 tonight at 9:00. It is so high already I'm worried for us and all our neighbors. We have done everything possible so now it is a wait and see. It is going to be to close for comfort!
Wishing you a pleasant safe evening.
