The second half of life..

What a gorgeous morning :D  Time in the garden doing a bit of tidying, trimming and pulling and then some time spent in the (neater) garden watching, listening and relaxing.  Sadly, the clouds gathered, the temperature dropped and there were even a few spits of rain by mid-afternoon.  Had thought I'd do a quick 1-night trip to Golden Bay but pleased now I decided to wait a few days so I can hopefully squeeze in two or three days during the week.

COVID news today was a bit of  a shocker, though I guess, expected.  160 new cases (the largest single day figure since the pandemic broached our shores), the news that a case has managed to work its way over to Tonga (probably via the Christchurch cluster) and a rest-home in Auckland has had 8 cases identified.  On the positive side, the Blenheim case from a few days ago doesn't seem to have grown,  Whew.  There are 47 cases in hospital two of whom are in ICU.
