Slim golden fungus

I nearly stood on this fungus because it is so slender. I think it might be a Yellow Spindle but am happy to be corrected by someone who knows more about these things than I do.

I couldn’t resist adding the extra. I don’t know how he managed to get onto this vantage point where he had a good view of the birds flitting about the garden. I assume he must have jumped from the nearest chair but how he landed safely on this very smooth topped table is a bit of a mystery. What a  dog!
