Very hot food producing numbing sensation in your mouth. You dig the fish out of the chilli, food is delicious just a bit too hot for my taste. However, I keep coming back.

The hot pepper was introduced into China from South America around the end of the 17th century. Once it came to Sichuan, it became a favored food flavoring. Sichuan province has high humidity and many rainy days. Hot pepper helps reduce internal dampness and hot dishes became the norm in their cuisine.
