La vida de Annie

By Annie

Isla del Rei.

Booked a trip today with Dave and Elizabeth, ex-neighbours who are over here at the moment, to the Hauser & Wirth exhibition which closes this weekend. It's on the King's Island in the centre of Mahon harbour, which is home to an 18th century military hospital built by the British, and chock-full of gruesome ancient medical equipment which I've seen on a previous visit, but sadly not on show today as the whole building is being revamped and was locked up. The accessible exterior is shown in the first two extras, and the last three show some of the Hauser & Wirth sculptural exhibits. Inside the building were a number of huge brightly-coloured abstract paintings, which were being explained to a group of teenage students. I'm not sure how uplifting they found them - the main picture is of them chilling after escaping the tour.
