Low tide at Cockwood Harbour

As Grandson T was home for a few days from Uni, it was a good opportunity to take him out  for lunch as a belated celebration for his 21st birthday last month. An excellent meal was served at the Ship Inn after which we took a stroll around the small harbour. The bridge over the inlet carries the main railway line between Paddington and Penzance - the only rail link from London to Cornwall..This part of the line follows the stunning  Exe estuary, coast from Dawlish to Teignmouth followed by the Teign estuary until Newton Abbot. It is frequently featured in travel programmes.
