A bug’s life.....

Wet again, so back on with the waterproofs to go round on the quad bike to feed cattle. It’s certainly getting squelchy under foot now !
Managed to bring in the scrap cows and calves, plus a big blk that I’m hoping to sell on Monday. They followed a bag of feeding out the gate no problem then a quick chase up the farm road and into a shed . Sorted.
The sun eventually made an appearance this afternoon so headed off down the road to repeat the process with a field of cows and calves there. They are now in a field behind the steading there , but will need to wait until it dries up enough to be able to cart them home.
This was another job needing done today. I add these slurry bugs to the tanks under the slats before the cattle come in to the shed. The idea is that the bacteria help break down the crust that forms so reducing the amount of time and diesel needed to mix the slurry when we pump it out. They also enhance the nutrient value . Not convinced it will work but you’ve got to try a thing and see how it goes . It was about £120 to do the 4 tanks so no big disaster if it doesn’t work.
