30 years ago tonight Karen, a mutual friend of Margaret and myself died of a drug overdose, a needless waste of a young life and still a traumatic loss. "Just Say No" is how I have lived my life. This tragedy drew us together and within a few weeks M and I  were living together and eventually got married. I rarely open up as much as this but feel the anniversary is worth noting.
