Back Blip from Akaora

This morning my youngest son and myself went over to Akaroa for a couple of nights. When we left Christchurch it was cold and overcast with some spots of rain. Once we reach the hills over to Akaroa we got blue sky's and it had warmed up.

It was good to be back in Akaroa again. The place looked like a jungle as things had grown so much. The lawns were so long my son had trouble cutting them. He ended up using the line trimmer to take the worst of it off before mowing it.

My cousin gave me some Bearded Iris at the beginning of the year from her garden. It was great to see two were out in flower. This white one and deep Purple/blue one.
