Warlock’s Butter

Found this fungus on the trunk of an old rowan that has been chopped down and forms part of my ”hedge” in my garden. It was new to me, but a bit of research tells me it is Exidia nigricans, also known as Warlock’s Butter. I thought this was quite apt for Halloween.
