After the rain.

Woke up and it was chucking it down. Darren opened patio doors to let me out for toilet duties but I thought better of it and stayed in.
By midday it had brightened a little, so in to the car we got and drove probably less than a mile to this spot you can see in photo.
Darren loves walking here. It’s on top of a hill, though it’s not a steep hill and when you look to the south you can see the hills that form part of the beginning of the northern part of the Peak District, it’s about 2 miles away. The photo is of the view to the north, you can see for miles, not only can you see most of West Yorkshire but you can see in to North Yorkshire too. We know this because we can see the power stations and their enormous chimneys, the furthest is Drax between Goole and Selby, but the view can see beyond that too. We are in South Yorkshire so it is a view of many miles.
The beauty of showery weather is that rainbows always appear and here we had another one today.
The rain and wind as retuned this evening, which is a shame for all those young trick or treaters who would have been walking the streets this evening in there Halloween costumes.
