The Big kewpie doll.

An annual event in Grafton, North NSW is the Jacaranda Festival. This time of year the whole town is completely adorned with pale purple flowers opening on and dropping beautifully from all the large Jacaranda trees.

The whole town gets into the event. Crowning of the J.Queen, shop fronts dressed, art and garden shows and tours, fairs, plays, music concerts, high teas, even a parade.
Last year the festival was cancelled. This year, although planned, a small Covid outbreak interrupted and diluted much of the happenings.

I decided to drive down for a day out. The streets were beautiful. And I got to see the big kewpie.
Good to get out of my area. It's been some time
