Día de Muertos

I wasn’t brought up with this tradition, but as I grew older and especially when I got married then we started making our little altar to remember our loved ones. Each year gets better and better, and I learn more about the meaning of it. When we are in Mexico, we also go to the cemetery to clean and decorate the graves with lots of flowers. That’s about the time when we see each other with other family members that haven’t been around in a while. It’s like a family reunion and friends too ;-)

Science projects are the best especially when the children play along, although there’s always at least one who doesn’t want to “touch that”. ;-))
