River Medina

The river Medina on the Isle of Wight splits the towns of Cowes and East Cowes. There is a Floating Bridge/Chain ferry for vehicles and pedestrians. Since the latest ferry was introduced in 2018 (the ninth since the ferry was introduced in 1859), it has been plagued with problems and is often suspended meaning the cars have a 10-mile detour via Newport. The Blip is of the replacement launch, which I think can carry pedal cycles too. Fortunately I was taking the Red Funnel car ferry from East Cowes which you can see arriving in one of the extras . It actually seems like it was going to mount the car park! The second extra  is a mural on a nearby wall.
