Green Gully

A wet day and the fire is back on. I thought we might have had our last for the year.
We went for a drive to the end of the valley, past where I have ever been before.
We think this old house belonged to the Carlon family. They were some of the original residents of the valley and several still live here. Their property was acquired (somewhat controversially) by National Parks. The newer house next to this has been demolished but hopefully this has been saved as it's clearly of historical significance. You can see the walls are made of mud.
The area is aptly (at present anyhow) called Green Gully.

The owner of the mailbox in extras is pretty handy with a chainsaw. He also makes good use of the defunct ones. Or maybe he just couldn't extricate it after cutting the letterbox.
