Back To Bernie's

Went back to Bernie's today to figure out the RPI issue with his electric hoist... Stopped and took a break from the hoist troubleshooting for 15 minutes and focused on that old hot rod in the corner of his shop... After the work history of everything he had done he made the statement about the stainless steel front axle he hand built for this car... I had been thinking it was a chrome purchased axle... Wrong assumption... Bernie was a true metal fabricator from the beginning of the hot rod age that many would aspire to be... Everything chrome looking is had fabricated stainless steel (except for the shock absorber) Wished I had taken a picture of the whole car ..
