No sleep for the restless

Allthough it was bed time , she didn t want to go. She said "i still have to clean the floor. So we let her doing what she had to do. Finally she sat for a long time in the dining room . I passed around 8U30 pm sang a song and she smiled. I asked her" Will You sit whole night on your chair , because our shift will end soon? Oh no she said i ll go home. And while singing together the same song over and over again , we could put her gently to sleep.
Elderlycare is lots and lots of improvisation and tuning in on the moment itself. But overal it is fascinating.

Indeed tune in to their perception of event and take them into the time of reality without upsetting them (once upon a time I was a mental nurse & later worked like you for a while)
