Sad boy

I had a productive day planned but had a call from school to say that Joe was poorly so I collected him. He wasn't poorly, just sad. He's struggling with friendship and general anxiety around schoolwork, tests etc. We're lucky to have a very good state school on our doorstep, but with that comes pressure on the kids to do well.

We had an afternoon walking the dog and watching Moana. Also, he really opened up about how he's been feeling mentally. He seems happier for having told me, and naming it as anxiety seems to have helped.
