Goodbye Salzbachtalbrücke

I suspect everyone in Hessen will have blipped this.  After years of neglect, this bridge was blown up at midday.  It was/is a really important link for Wiesbaden.  When they take the rubble away, they'll be able to reopen the central railway station and they'll be able to re-open the Mainzer Straße both of which *might* ease a few traffic congestion problems in Wiesbaden.

And now it's time for predictions - when will the new bridge be finished?  According to the company building it, the planned date is in 2026.  I'll be optimistic and say 2028.

And if you wanted a breakdown of the name - das Salz - salt, der Bach - stream, das Tal - valley, die Brücke - bridge.  And because nouns take their article from the last part of the name it's "die Salzbachtalbrücke".
