You don't have to be an ornithologist to be aware that sparrows are at risk .
Berlin was a safe haven where they flourished .Now even with the Green Party as part of the coalition, things are not so good .Why am I not surprised ?  Theodor Heuss Platz was home to hundreds and the hedges were ideal for shelter .For some reason these have been hacked away and the shelter is no more .In the background you can see the remains of a much loved 'Avian Hall' .Indeed some chirpy birds are still sitting in it.
Monday   I'll  be in touch with the Town Hall..The hot air of governments and demo devotees  simply add to the carbon footprint ....Sparrows sound so much nicer than the zealots :) I've added a link to a YT video and there you'll seesome of the hedge which is no more ..
