American Bald Eagle

I went to Fort Hunt very early Saturday in search of eagles and found nothing.  Decided to abort that mission and headed to Huntley Meadows Park (about 8 minutes away) and was thrilled to learn that there was an eagle hanging out in the western part of the park.   The eagle remained perched in a tree for well over two hours and then flew around over the water for about 10 minutes in search of breakfast.  It left empty handed but at least I got the pictures I had originally wanted!
