The Old Tower

After the Conference I needed a walk to try and work off some of the excess food I've eaten . The sun was out so I marched up the hill to the old tower  to get in 10,000 paces and 150m of climb.
We'd had 2 interesting sessions at the conference  today , one on the Lakeland Dialect and its origins and one on the coal mines on the west coast.  I learned that Cumbrian has Welsh and Norse in it. Interestingly Helvellyn is from the Welsh which once its pointed out, is obvious.
