Cheviot sunset

We had planned a day out until MrM remembered that a potential customer had arranged to visit early this afternoon to talk about mandolins. And someone else was coming to pick up some strings! Never mind - we'll go off somewhere in the middle of the week.

Instead, we had a late start and a lazy morning. When the visitors had left, we indulged in that traditional Sunday afternoon activity - a trip to the tip recycling centre. Then MrM drove us just a little further, up the hill to Weetwood Moor for a short walk before it got dark. It's still very mild for the time of year, but up on the moor the blustery wind felt icy, and I was glad of my hat! We were treated to glorious sunset as we walked, and by the time we reached the van it was almost dark.

The main Blip shows the great mass of The Cheviot. In the extra, taken from Coldmartin Lough, The Cheviot is at the centre, with Hedgehope Hill to the left.
