An unexpected trip to Wakefield...

...for my booster jab this morning...
We had it all planned for a more local clinic in Honley - don't know what made me check, but they were unavailable for booster jabs today ;(
Anyhooo - better luck second time round, though there was a bit of a wait - apparently a couple of the centres in Leeds had run out and they were referring everyone to Wakefield...

Since we were heading in to Wakefield Roy suggested we go to the Post Office with my passport as well, and attempt a digital renewal ( we're being optimistic that we'll ever need to use passports again... ). The machine was out of order, and had been all weekend... They suggested we go to Ossett - and since we were on a mission that's what we did. Very helpful, a working machine and a text and e-mail back immediately to say my passport application was being dealt with. Result!

The third embuggerance factor was a slurry wagon, which appeared to have shed most of its load on most of the route we took via Denby Dale this morning. Roy is busily washing the car, the wheels and the wheel arches with copious amounts of water as I type ;) What a pong!

Anyway - not the day we had planned, but a successful outcome nevertheless, and a bit of negative space near The Hepworth for MonoMonday today - thanks Carolina!
