Symphoricarpos albus

That rolls off the tongue nicely but Snowberry is easier.  Theses pure white berries are quite unusual and look very attractive on this very tolerant garden shrub.  I used to have one in a previous garden and it was very tolerant of some quite haphazard and untimely pruning mostly when it outgrew its position on the driveway and brushed against the car and visitors as they approached the front door.  This one is growing at the allotment - not sure why as it has no edible value but probably it was bird sown sometime in the past.
