La vida de Annie

Clima ventoso.

A lot of detritus from the garden blew into the porch in the night, and the weather has been awful all day. The ports have been closed for days and people have noticed shortages of fresh produce in the shops as a result.
Translated from local paper:

The suspension of maritime traffic empties the supermarkets of fresh products
Menorca chains three days, and goes for the fourth, without boats. This Tuesday the weather worsens and another triple alert has been activated
Menorca has been isolated by sea for three days due to the strong waves (with waves of about 11 meters ) and the wind caused by the storm Blas, since the ports of Maó and Ciutadella were closed on Friday. And despite the fact that that of Llevant this Monday has already reopened to traffic, there has been no maritime connection since noon on Friday.
Three days without the arrival of boats to Menorca makes it begin to be noticed in the supply of fresh products that arrive by sea and the shelves of fruit and vegetables in supermarkets are being emptied.
The port of Maó has reopened this Monday, but the Trasmed shipping company had already cancelled its operations due to bad weather and its ship has not moored in Maó early in the morning as planned. The one in Ciutadella is still closed and Baleària has suspended all its routes for both this Monday and Tuesday.
For Tuesday the weather worsens and more wind is expected. Trasmed's forecast is that the first ship will leave Barcelona on Tuesday night, so if time permits it will arrive in Maó on Wednesday morning. This means that Menorca will have been five days without maritime connections.
Another alert treble
For this Tuesday the Aemet has activated another triple alert, just as it did on Saturday: wind, rough seas and rain.
Menorca is on yellow warning due to strong wind (with gusts of up to 80 kilometers) and orange alert for coastal phenomena, with waves that can reach 12 meters. On Tuesday, the rain warning will also be activated, with rainfall that can collect 60 liters per square meter in 12 hours. On Wednesday, only the yellow warning for coastal phenomena will remain in force, which does not guarantee the ports of Maó and Ciutadella can be reopened before Thursday.
