Before, During, After - One Street #9

The unsurfaced back lane between our road and the one that runs parallel has become increasingly rutted and potholed over the last few years so a group of us clubbed together to buy 10 tons of scalpings and a smaller group of us spent this morning, shovelling, raking and rolling them into place to create a much more even surface. While we were at it, we cleared some weeds, overgrown rotting trees and debris from the bottom of the lane.

Lots of aching backs and arms and even more satisfaction from a group of neighbours working together in a common cause.
