De Oude Bieb

De Oude Bieb, in english 'The Old Library'. Picture of our old building. The Old Library is a community centre completely runned by volunteers. We started in 2014 after interviewing citizens of the city Groningen who were living in poverty. Our aim was to find out what was lacking in the support of municipality and aid agencies. It turned out to be an accessible meetingplace where people who live in the same circumstances can meet and talk about it without shame. That is how we started. Nowedays we have grown into a meeting and activity centre were everything is free, From a cup of coffee to various activities. And if possible we help to change their circumstances.
