Spider on it's web covered in dewdrops

What a dank overcast misty day. I met up with two Australian friends whom I originally met on my market stall some months ago. They drove over from near Cirencester to meet up in the Old Lodge pub in the middle of Minchinhampton Common. It was good to catch up and discuss our worlds. I like getting other viewpoints, which today focused on political perspectives.

Coming home through the near fog on the common down into the only misty Golden Valley reminded me of other autumnal days from yesteryears. In the garden, whilst refilling the bird feeders, I spotted this dew covered web and then saw the spider lying in wait. There can't be much insect food at times like this.
