Schools out for ever

I spent most of the day running a digital workshop for a class of children at a school
in Sawbridgeworth.

The children were put into small groups, each group took the role of an agency and had to respond to a brief ( just as we do ).

The brief was set by the WWF to raise awareness of our carbon consumption in daily life.

The children had to do some research, brainstorm ideas, design a solution and then present it back to us.

They were amazing, we had seven teams and seven very different solutions from a local produce cooking show on tick tick with Gordon Ramsey, a takeover of the Google Doodle, electric plane stunts, e-card driving games, tick tick filters, trees planted for sports participation.

Their research was good, some of their designs were brilliant. Really well done.

The winner ( chosen by the pupils ) was the Google doodle takeover, which was really clever as the potential audience Is in the billions.

The winning idea goes into a national competition, fingers crossed for them.
