Alexa keeps us good company when I spend the afternoon with my mother.
I ask Alexa all kinds of questions: the weather forecast, the saint of the day, or some recipes. She sings old songs for my mother and tells us stories or jokes. My mother smiles and nods.
It's great to have her company because sometimes I don't know what to do when I'm with my mother. She talks very softly and says things that have no sense. I sometimes find it difficult to understand her.
Today she asked me why she had not seen Nicolás, who was my father, for a few days. I had to say very calmly that he died more than 30 years ago in a street accident, and all she said was: Why didn't anyone tell me? I thought he was on a trip.
