A dry morning but drizzle arrived by early afternoon. Today’s parcel (bird food) was due to arrive between 1.12 and 2.12 pm but came in the morning. Pleased I hadn’t gone out.
That left the afternoon free. Keen to clear the car of stuff for the recycling site I drove there first then on to Grasmere where I could more easily combine a shop and a blip. I thought you might like to see something different than the queue outside the gingerbread shop so here’s the roof of the National Trust shop* across the road. I liked not only the chimney but also the similar colours to the tree behind.
* The building dates back to the 17th century. In the 18th century it was an inn and Willian Wordsworth stayed there.
